Il 27 ottobre 2023 Taylor Swift ha rilasciato, come programmato, il nuovo album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version).

La canzone parla di Harry Styles?

Perché salta subito in mente Harry Styles, come riporta anche Just Jared? Taylor Swift ha scritto l’album 1989 subito dopo la fine della sua relazione col cantante degli One Direction.

Allora veniva, inoltre, da un periodo in cui era stata oggetto di critiche e giudizi pesanti da parte dei media per anni, il che l’ha portata a rimanere single per due anni e mezzo.

Ad aver attirato maggiormente l’attenzione è stata una frase della canzone che dice “Blue dress/ On a boat”, ovvero “Vestito blu / Su una barca“.

Queste parole sembrano fare riferimento ad una famosa vecchia foto in cui la giovane appariva triste su una barca da sola, dopo che si era diffusa la voce che si fosse lasciata con Harry Styles.

Subito dopo, Taylor canta anche “Your new girl is my clone”, che tradotto sarebbe “la tua nuova ragazza è la mia copia“.

In questo caso la Swift potrebbe fare riferimento al fatto che ai tempi si era diffusa la voce secondo cui Harry Styles si sarebbe frequentato con Kimberly Stewart subito dopo di lei.

A detta di molti, quest’ultima assomiglierebbe parecchio alla cantate, da qui il commento sul clone. Infine, c’è un altro stralcio interessante in Is It Over Now, da non sottovalutare.

Nella canzone, Taylor Swift canta “You search in every model’s bed for somethin’ greater, baby”, che vuol dire, “Cerchi in ogni letto di modella qualcosa di meglio, tesoro” e Harry avrebbe una certa tendenza a frequentare modelle.

Se Is It Over Now di Taylor Swift parli effettivamente di Harry Styles, non possiamo affermarlo con certezza. Tuttavia bisogna ammettere che qualche coincidenza c’è.
